Born: 2233 (Iowa, Earth)

2246: Witnessed Governor Kodos massacre 8000 people, including Hoshi Sato, on Tarsus IV

2250: Inspired by his father, he enrolled in Starfleet Academy

2251: Participated in Axanar Peace Mission

2253-4: Served as Academy Instructor

2254: Became the only cadet to beat the Kobayashi Maru scenario

2254: Served on USS Republic

2254: Graduated from the academy; assigned to USS Farragut

2257: Captain Garrovick killed in battle against cloud creature. Kirk blamed himself for the deaths of 100s of shipmates.

2261: Son David is born

2264: Promoted to captain

2265: Assumed command of the USS Enterprise

2265: Crossed Great Barrier and is forced to kill his friend Gary Mitchell

2266: Romulans re-emerge after a century and engage Enterprise. They use a cloaking device and Starfleet learns what Romulans look like for the first time (at least officially).

2266: Kirk finds Kodos the Executioner alive. Kodos’ daughter accidentally kills her father.

2266: Spock hijacks the Enterprise to take Captain Pike to Talos IV

2267: Kirk is the first captain to be court martialed. He is acquitted when it is discovered Ben Finney is alive.

2267: First contact with the Gorn. Kirk fights a Gorn captain.

2267: Khan Noonian Singh is discovered alive and well. Kirk defeats Khan and banishes him to Ceti Alpha V.

2267: Kirk settles interstellar war run by computer sim.

2267: Enterprise thrown back to 1969.

2267: Travels to 1930 New York City, falls in love, and then has to watch her die in a car accident. But, he did restore the timeline. Nazi Germany did not win World War II or develop an A-bomb.

2267: First Klingon-Federation War ends when the Organians intervene. The Organian Peace Treaty is forced on both powers.

2267: Kirk’s brother, Sam, is killed by neural parasites. His nephew survived.

2267: Mirror universe discovered

2267: Meets Zephram Cochrane

2268: Tribbles!

2268: Kirk tries to restore Iotian culture after the USS Horizon left a book behind prior to the Romulan War that transformed Iotians into gangsters.

2268: Kirk’s favorite professor transformed Ekosian society into Nazi Germany.

2268: Kirk steals Romulan cloaking device

2268: The captain loses his memory, becomes Kirok, and lives with Indians for months. He gets married, but his wife dies.

2268: Kirk is trapped in a spatial interphase between universes.

2269: Kirk meets Garth of Izar

2269: Kirk meets Abraham Lincoln

2270: Five Year Mission ends. Enterprise returns to space dock for refit. Kirk promoted to Admiral.

2273: V’Ger crisis

2281: Kirk retired

2284: Kirk returns to Starfleet

2285: The Search for Spock, death of David, and destruction of the Enterprise

2286: The Whale Probe crisis and trip to 1986

2286: Kirk demoted to captain and assumes command of Enterprise 1701-A

2293: Peace with Klingons and retirement

2293: Sucked into the Nexus and presumed dead

2371: Rescued from Nexus by Jean Luc Picard. Dies rather lamely on a bridge on Veridian III.
