The Ultimate LDS

Here is a list of the greatest LDS games thus far. Included are the greatest Game 1, 2, etc.


GM 1: 1995 Cleveland- 5 Boston- 4 (13 innings)
In the 11th inning, Tim Naehring hits a home run to give the Sox the lead. In the bottom of the 11th, Albert Belle leads off with a home run. The game stays tied until the 13th inning. Then, Tony Pena hits a walk off home run. Indians wins and go on to sweep the Red Sox.


GM 2: 2000: Mets- 5 Giants- 4 (10 innings)
In the 9th inning, JT Snow hits a pinch hit 3 run home run to tie the game. The Mets take the lead in the 10th. In the bottom of the 10th John Franco strikes out Barry Bonds looking with the tying run on base and the Mets win. Barry Bonds = Greatest choke artists ever.


GM 3: 2001 Yankees- 1 A’s- 0
A's lead the series 2 games to none. Barry Zito give up only one run on a Jorge Posada home run. The game and the series was decided in the 7th inning. With two outs and a runner on first, Oakland’s Terrance Long doubles down the right field line. The throw from the outfield misses the cutoff man and heads toward first base foul territory. Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter, runs all the way from his position, gets the balland flips it to Jorge Posada who tags out the runner at the plate. Yanks win the game 1-0 and the series in 5.


GM 4: 2005 Houston-7 Atlanta- 6 (18 innings)
The Braves led 6-1 in the 8th. Lance Berkman hits a grand slam to cut the lead to 6-5. Then, Kyle "homerun" Farnsworth enters the game. A solo home run by Brad Ausmus of all people in the bottom of the 9th ties the game. The game goes 18 innings. The Astros win the game in the bottom of the 18th inning on a game winning home run by Chris Burke. What a game!


GM 5: 1995 Seattle- 6 Yankees- 5 (11 Innings)
In the deciding game, the Mariners score two runs in the 8th inning to tie the game. The Yankees take the lead in the 11th. In the bottom of the 11th, Joey Cora and Ken Griffey Jr. each single. Edgar Martinez than hits a double that scores both. Junior's run home seemed to take forever, but he eventually scored the series winning run.
