The Red Wings fell behind 3-1 in the Norris Conference Finals against Toronto. Maple Leaf coach John Brophy called Detroit a bunch of chokers. They rallied to tie the series and then won Game 7 behind Glen Hanlon's shutout. In the 3rd period, Wings fans taunted Toronto's coach with chants of "Bro-phy!"
